The format is individual Stableford with separate competitions for ladies (red tees) and men (blue tees). All players play from the red tee on the 18th hole (Beat the Pro Challenge).
However, you are allowed to take two mulligans, one of which may be taken on the front 9 with the other taken on the back 9. This means that you may replay any stroke of your choice without penalty, from an errant drive to a missed 6-inch putt! The hole on which a mulligan was taken should be indicated with an M on the scorecard. Scores are therefore not acceptable for handicap.
You must determine your Course Handicap before play.
To comply with Rule 3.3b, your Course Handicap must be shown on your score card and you should use this to determine your Stableford points on a hole as this will be used in handicap processing. A playing handicap of 95% of your course handicap will be applied by the system to establish competition places. Ladies receive ONE additional stroke on their playing handicap
On the day of the competition, you must register with the Pro Shop. This confirms your entry into the competition and therefore you are expected to post a score.
The entry fee is £15 which all goes to the Captains’ charities. .This must be paid on registration using a contactless debit or credit card. Cash will not be accepted and you cannot pay with your bar card. Failure to register and/or pay will result in automatic exclusion from the competition.
At the end of the round, your score must be entered using one of the following methods:
and must be accompanied by a photograph of the scorecard.
If using the igMember app or PACE, you are able to upload a photograph. However, this can be unreliable so whatever method of score entry you use, you must also email a photograph of your scorecard to dartmouthcomps@gmail.com
The photograph must show the complete scorecard and be clear and legible so that it can be checked by the competition administrator.
The player may delegate the responsibility of photographing and submitting their scorecard to another player, but it is the player’s responsibility to ensure that these actions take place.
If a scorecard photograph is not submitted, the player will be subject to disqualification for failing to return a card.
The scorecard should be retained by the player in case of dispute.
Scorecard submission must be completed as soon as possible after play.
